Appreciation For World Town Planning Day Celebrations

The Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP) celebrated the World Town Planning Day on the 8th of November, 2017.

The World Town Planning Day (WTPD) 2017 has come and gone. However the National President Tpl Luka Achi FNITP, on behalf of the NITP Management appreciates planners across the country for celebrating the day in a unique way.

Planners should please raise their heads up because the 2017 celebration was termed to the best in the history of NITP.

The celebration which was visible nationwide and monitored by the NITP Public Relations Office was full of activities from Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Kwara, Adamawa, Nasarawa, Abia, Abuja, Adamawa and Niger.

It was indeed an international day of celebrating the accomplishments of planners and their contributions to their communities. Planners took over government and private radio Stations and television Stations to educate and inform the public about planning activities, took over the social media, visit were made to planning agencies, Press conferences were organised to mark the day and Press interviews were conducted for planners by media organization.

The National President on behalf of NITP Management express his appreciation to Chapters Chairmen, Members, Students and the Press for their financial and moral support to make the day a wonderful one.

The Office of the NITP Public Relations Secretary has submitted a proposal for a Merit Award to the best state chapter in terms of NITP events implementation as this will promote healthy competition among state chapters.

The PRS sincerely appreciated specially the efforts of Osun State Chapter, Lagos State Chapter and Kwara State Chapter expecially for the rally organized by Osun and Kwara Chapters, it was superb.

We hope to have a better celebration of World Town Planning Day in 2018 because if we don’t blow our trumpet nobody we do it
