NITP AGM Report, Day 3


The Nigerian Institute of Town Planners 48th Annual Conference/General Meeting continues on Wednesday 29th with a Breakfast meeting with the National President Tpl Luka Achi fnitp.

The meeting have in attendance National Executive Members, TOPREC leadership and Past Presidents of NITP and TOPREC. Issues discussed at the meeting centered on the development of the Institute and the planning profession.

Town Hall Meeting.

Traditional chiefs, captains of industries, political leaders, professionals and artisans have a fulfilled time and information about what Town Planning is all about after an over two hours meeting with the leadership of the institute.

The meeting which commenced with a presentation by the 2nd National Vice President Tpl Olutoyin Ayinde fnitp closed after notes have been taking on various issues raised at the meeting.

City Tour

For better understanding of the host state environment, city tour took place and members have a wonderful time networking and sharing ideals while visiting various historical and interesting sites.Places visited are .
1.Ox bow Lake.
2.The first Oil well at Oloibiri.
3.Otuoke,Village of the Nigeria Past President Chief Goodluck Johnathan.
4.Federal University ..etc

New Members Induction Dinner.

Induction Dinner was held for one hundred and ninety four(194) new members into the institute. Induction Lecture was delivered by Effiom Effiong titled The place of character and leadership in professional practice while the membership oath was administered by the NITP legal Adviser Tpl Ayodele Adediran Fnitp.

The event which was organized by the induction planning committee headed by the Chairman membership committee Tpl Idris Okanla Salako fnitp introduced new approach to the event which was termed colourful.
